Phoebe Ann Pankrantz Moss

Phoebe Ann Pankrantz Moss, 72, resident of Clara Mathis Road in Spring Hill, died Friday, September 19, 2008 at Signature Health Care. A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19 with Pastor John Fuller officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to service time. Military honors will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19 and the American Legion Auxiliary. Family interment services will be at Jones Cemetery. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, P. O. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John Pankrantz and Esther Yaeger Pankrantz. After earning her nursing degree, she served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam era as a nurse at Washington Hospital in Freemont, California. She was a member of the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Raymond Moss of Spring Hill; a son, Jason (Tammy) Moss of Columbia; grandsons, Austin Moss and Jase Moss of Columbia; sister, Margaret (Joe) Solinsky of Ohio; brothers, Paul (Nell) Pankrantz of Pasadena, Texas, Charles (Patricia) Pankrantz, John (Martha) Pankrantz, and Phillip (Charlotte) Pankrantz of Ohio; several nieces and nephews. Members of the American Legion will serve as honorary pallbearers.
