Phyllis Christopher Price

Phyllis Christopher Price, 94, widow of Gerald "Jerry" Price and resident of Westover Drive, died Friday, November 28, 2008 at Rosewood Manor. Graveside services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Jeremy Butt and Jerry Elder officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday after 1:30 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Fairmont, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Pearley A. Christopher and Lela Caroline Ammons Christopher. She was the widow of Gerald "Jerry" Price who died 1n 1964. Mrs. Price was a long-time member of West Seventh Street Church of Christ. Survivors include daughters, Pamela (Don) Rochester of Annadale, Virginia and Joyce (Harold G.) Allen of Columbia; a sister, Wanda Christopher Harris of Annadale, Virginia; a brother, John D. Christopher of Ohio; grandchildren, Kevin L. Rochester, Christopher G. Allen, and Phillip A. (Shannon) Allen; great-grandchildren, Andrew G. Allen, Justin M. Rochester, and Leah Grace Allen; several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers are Robert Ammons, Bill Ammons, David Ammons, Oliver Ammons, Christopher Allen, and Phillip Allen. Honorary pallbearers are Noel "Ed" Ammons, Kevin Rochester, Rose Hubband, Anne Phoenix, Ann Craig, Blanche Dillard, and Betty Derryberry.
