Mrs. Polly Parris Mrs. Pauline "Polly" Speck Parris, 84, retired employee of Middle Tennessee Wilbert Vault Company, died Thursday, July 28, 2005, at The Bridge. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Hughes officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home and Saturday after 9:00 A.M. at the church. A visitation will be held in Livingston, Tennessee, at Speck Funeral Home from 2:00 - 3:00 P.M. Saturday with a funeral service to be conducted at 3:00 P.M. The Overton County native was the daughter of the late Floyd Speck and Narciss Allred Speck. She was a graduate of Livingston Academy in Livingston and attended Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe, Missouri. Mrs. Parris was employed at Ray's Jewelry and later was Secretary/Treasurer for Middle Tennessee Wilbert Vault Company. She was an avid worldwide traveler. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Joseph E. Parris of Columbia; two sons, Mike (Donna) Parris of Columbia; Steve (Kerrin) Parris of Hurst, Texas; one sister, Miss Lyda Speck of Livingston; and two grandchildren, Katie Parris and Joe Parris. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ira Speck and Ray Speck.
