Polly Parrott Sealy

Mrs. Ollie (Polly) Parrott Sealy, 86, resident of Alpine Drive, died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Mike Dawson officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hardin County native was the daughter of the late Monroe Parrott and Lillie Harris Parrott. She was retired from Weather Tamer. Mrs. Sealy was a member of First Baptist Church. She was active for many years in the American Legion Auxiliary and was past president of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics. She also was a volunteer for Maury Regional Hospital Auxiliary and the American Red Cross. She was married December 29, 1941 to Truman Sealy who died in 1999. Survivors include a son, Douglas Wayne Sealy of Columbia; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Doris Ragsdale and Janice Bowie. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
