Rufus "R.M." Kelley Rufus Morgan Kelley, 81, farmer and resident of Baker Road, died Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ron Eversole officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The Maury County native was the son of the late Dean Kelley and Dixie Anderson Kelley. He was a member of Central Christian Church. On December 18, 1943 he married Dorothy C. Barham Kelley who survives him. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Dale Morgan (Janie) Kelley and John Travis (Amy) Kelley, Sr. both of Columbia; two sisters, Louise Fite and Betty (Billy) Mash both of Columbia; one brother, Bud Kelley of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Dana Dean, Sandie Whitaker, Torey (Cammey) Kelley, Amanda (Kevin) Ingram, Jason (Jennifer) Kelley, Katie Kelley, John Kelley, Jr.; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by nine brothers. Pallbearers will be John Kelley, Torey Kelley, Keith Baker, Andy Anderson, Mike Anderson, Teddy Anderson, Ron Kelley and Willie Kelley. Honorary pallbearers will be residents of Three Oaks Village Mobile Home Park, nurses and staff of Columbia Care and Rehab Center, Nurses on 3rd Floor North, dialysis, and CCU at Maury Regional Hospital.
