Mrs. Rachel Elizabeth Demastus "Mama H" Eddlemon, 91, resident of Greasy Branch Road, died Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Rosewood Manor. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Jimmy Dawson and Rev. David Dault officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Mount Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Central Presbyterian Church, 1708 Culleoka Highway, Culleoka 38451. She was a long-time member of Central Presbyterian Church. She was married June 25, 1938 to Leslie Eddlemon who died in 1986. Survivors include a son-in-law, Bill Harris of the Glendale Community; two granddaughters, Cindy (Winfred) Baker of the Water Valley Community and Melissa (Randy) Jones of the Glendale Community; four great-grandchildren, Alex Jones, Will Baker, Jessica Jones, and Robert Baker. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Eddlemon Harris. Active pallbearers are Jimmy Williams, Charles Vaughn, Jack Craig, Alex Jones, Will Baker, Robert Baker, Mike Vaughn, and Mike Looper. Honorary pallbearers include members of Central Presbyterian Church, staff of Rosewood Manor, and Dr. William Robinson. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to caregivers Addie Webster, Shelby Riddle, and Linda Hedrick.
