MISS RACHEL PICKARD Mrs. Rachel Virginia Pickard, 78, retired secretary and bookkeeper for J. E. Crain & Son and resident of Edwin Warner Drive in Nashville, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at Lakeshore Nursing Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jim Bill McInteer officiating. Burial will be in Kittrell Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00- 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Luther Thomas Pickard and Floy Whiteside Pickard. She was a 1943 graduate of Columbia Central High School. Miss Pickard was a life member and Hall of Fame member of Nashville Women?s Bowling Association. She was a member of West End Church of Christ. Survivors include one sister, Jane Pickard of Nashville; one brother, Fred (Cathy) Pickard of Jacksonville Beach, Florida; aunt, Lura Whiteside Pogue of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ann Moss; and three brothers, Thomas Pickard, Joe Pickard, and Dan Pickard.
