Mrs. Rachel Ann Craig Thrasher, 85, resident of Bee Kerr Road, died Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m at Oakes & Nichols with Heuston Marshall and Ricky Clay officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Mount Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakeaandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Floyd Thomas Craig and Bessie Hight Craig. She was a long-time member of Scribner's Mill Church of Christ. She was married May 15, 1940 to Hardison Lee Thrasher who preceded her in death November 27, 2007. Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Cox of Lebanon, Patricia (Jerry) Vaughn of Lewisburg, and Nancy (Larry) Pigue of Mooresville; three sons, Lane (Peggy) Thrasher, Dennis (Ruth) Thrasher, and Jim Thrasher, all of Culleoka; two brothers, Jack (Mildred) Craig of Columbia and Goodman Craig of Mobile, Alabama; sister-in-law, Martha Craig of Culleoka; twelve grandchildren, Daryl Thrasher, Dianne Williams, Dawn Bradley, Bill Thrasher, Laura Parks, Lisa Kelley, Karen Pugh, Jennifer Hudgins, Keith Pigue, Brian Pigue, Amanda Jackson Wills, and Cassandra Jackson; eighteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Misty Bradley and Colton Williams, and a brother, Gene Craig. Active pallbearers are Bill Thrasher, Daryl Thrasher, Keith Pigue, Brian Pigue, Danny Pugh, Steve Bradley, Mike Parks, Jason Kelley, Greg Hudgins, and Leonard Williams. Honorary pallbearers include Jack and Daisy White, members, Elders, and Deacons of Scribner's Mill Church of Christ.
