Mr. Ralph J. Augimeri, 86, resident of S. Laurel Circle, died Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital. A private family graveside service will take place at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield, New Jersey at a later date. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The Cherry Creek native was the son of the late Rafael Augimeri and Pasqualena Orlando Augimeri. On June 8, 1946 he married Thelma A. Rook Augimeri who preceded him in death August 20, 1984. He was employed as head of security by Sea Train Lines. Mr. Augimeri served in the military during World War II. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion and was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. Survivors include one daughter, Mary (Andrew, III) Meglis of Columbia; one sister, Mary O'Rourke of Kane, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Dominic Augimeri of Roselle Park, New Jersey, Vincent Augimeri of Ohio; five grandchildren, Dawn (Jay) Pudnos of Round Rock, Texas, Craig Meglis of Columbia, Robert (Sondra) Meglis of Columbia Falls, Maine, Brian (Angela) Meglis of Lewisburg, Sheri (William) Stewart of Vanlear; ten great-grandchildren, Brittany Pudnos, Marcella Pudnos, Joseph Meglis, Melanie Meglis, Andrew Meglis, Joshua Meglis, Ryan Meglis, Jessyca Stewart, Karry Stewart, Emmaly Stewart; several nieces and nephews; and good friend, William Armstrong of Columbia. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Augimeri and a sister, Clementine Morishi.
