Randal Lane "Corndog" "Cat Daddy" Uzzell, 51, employee of Ryder Corporation, died Thursday, June 7, 2018 at his residence on West Commerce in Lewisburg. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Phil Mash and Randy Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Baker Cemetery in Hickman County. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.Born July 12, 1966 in Maury County, Tennessee, he was the son of the Frank Uzzell and Faye Bell Uzzell. For 30 years he worked for Bobby White Motors and Nissan for 8 years. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he was loved by everyone who knew him. Mr. Uzzell enjoyed working outside and was a member of Viola Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, whom he married August 16, 1986, Vanessa Bradford Uzzell of Lewisburg; daughter, Lana Uzzell Slaughter of Culleoka; grandchildren, Sadie Lane Slaughter; Ellie Grace Slaughter both of Culleoka; brothers, Tommy (Carol) Uzzell of Bryant Station; Jeff (Carrie) Uzzell of Spring Hill; Joey (Joanna) Uzzell of Culleoka; mother-in-law, Annie King of Lewisburg; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Bobby) Katzenberger of Culleoka; Candie (Shawn) Rebeor of Mooresville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Landon Ryan Slaughter; and father-in-law, Jerry Bradford. Active pallbearers will be Matthew Gilliam, Richie Gilliam, Ricky Liggett, Todd Tate, Jason Tate, Ronnie Black, and Artie Haskins. Honorary pallbearers include his nephews, and members of Viola Baptist Church.
