Randy G. Martin, 60, truck driver with Timco Logistics Systems, Inc. and resident of Fairview, died Monday, March 6, 2017 while running his route in San Bernardino County, California. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Stanfill officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born April 3, 1956, in Williamson County, he was the son of the late John Homer Martin and the late Mattie Gordon Martin. Randy enjoyed driving his semi and the long trips on the road made him truly treasure the time spent with family. Survivors include his children, John Martin of Belfast; Melinda (Jeremy) Mangrum of Lewisburg; Kayla Martin of Belfast; brothers, Hubert Martin of Bending Chestnut Community; Sewell (Marie) Martin of Fairview; Jerry (Marlene) Martin of Franklin; Wallace Martin of Smyrna; Alton "Fuzzy" Martin of Fairview; sisters, Jewell Green of Bon Aqua; Elizabeth Martin of Spring Hill; grandchildren, John Wesley Martin, Annie Martin, Tameron Manley, Ian Manley, Kelci Mangrum; mother of his children, Shelia D. Stanfill Martin; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Brooke Martin; brothers, William Boyd Martin and Lester Wayne Martin. Active pallbearers will be Justin Parker, Tony Parker, Brandon Martin, Ernie Martin, Teddy Martin, and Jeremy Mangrum. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Martin, Brian Durant, Gary Martin, Wesley Martin, and Ian Manley.
