Raymond Allen Connelly

Mr. Raymond Allen Connelly, 72, resident of Heathrow Blvd. in Brentwood, died Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at St. Thomas Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Philip Tidwell officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery. He was a well known businessman for 31 years in Nashville. In 1976 he started his first business, Central Paint and Body Shop in downtown Nashville. Over the years he established several other businesses. He sponsored baseball teams and was involved in many charitable organizations. He served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Connelly attended Bethlehem Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Betty Berlin Connelly of Brentwood; four daughters, Ms. Karen Clarke of Hayward, CA, Mrs. Kathy (Ken) May of Lancaster, CA, Mrs. Kristy (Bill) Finney of Kingston Springs, Mrs. Kerry (Rory) Johnson of Huntingdon, W.V. ; three sons, Dana (Carla) Connelly of Seattle, WA, Daniel (Angela) Connelly of Kingston Springs, Ricky (Lisa) Connelly of Old Hickory; one sister, Mrs. Helen (John) Lynn of Columbia; three brothers, James (Vivian) Connelly, Hubert Connelly, Vance Connelly all of Columbia; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three special little buddies, Hollywood, Hosea, Jesus, and his baby, SuSu. Pallbearers will be Ray Berlin, Ralph Berlin, Ken May, Bill Finney, Christopher Connelly, Ryan Connelly and Corey Connelly.
