View Funeral WebcastReba Jo Henson Cole, 87, retired employee of River Valley Mills, died Monday, March 20, 2017 at her residence on Paul Drive. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Adam Pogue officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.Born November 30, 1929 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. Henson and the late Velma Lee Clayton Henson. On December 23, 1948, she married James Thomas Cole who preceded her in death October 3, 2000. Mrs. Cole was a member of the Mooresville Church of Christ.Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Gail (Larry) Pogue of Columbia; Dianne (Ray) Davis of Lynnville; Vickie (Jeff) Whiteside of Hampshire; son, Danny Wayne (Sharon) Cole of Columbia; sisters, Willadean Brown of Culleoka; Dorothy Cooper of Summertown; Linda (Charles) Hamilton of Summertown; Janet (Skip) Taylor of Franklin; brothers, Arnold (Nellyn) Henson of Clarksville; Rex (Clarissa) Henson of Columbia; grandchildren, Tonia (Keith) Kelley of Mt. Pleasant; Daniel Pogue of Nolensville; Adam (Alysha) Pogue of Lumberton, Texas; Preston (Julie) Davis of Spring Hill; Scott (April) Davis of Lynnville; Candice (Matthew) Campbell of Hampshire; Brett (Whitney) Cole of Seymore; Zachary Whiteside of Hampshire; Colton Whiteside of Hampshire; Ezekiel "Zeke" Whiteside of Hampshire; sixteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Bobbie Henson; June Henson; Jane Henson; and special friend Jim Blackburn. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Thomas Shane Cole; brothers, Roy Henson, Bill Henson, Harlan Henson, Gary Henson, Donald Paul Henson; and sister, Joyce Lewis. Active pallbearers will Daniel Pogue, Adam Pogue, Preston Davis, Scott Davis, Brett Cole, Zachary Whiteside, Colton Whiteside, and Zeke Whiteside.
