Mrs. Reba Claire Wilson Dixon, 76, retired employee at Weather-Tamer and resident of Bestview Drive, died Sunday, February 20, 2005, at her daughter's residence near Chattanooga. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Elmer Lusk and John Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday after 4:00 P.M. and Wednesday after 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Vernon Charles Wilson and Lillian Martin Wilson. She was married to Eugene Dixon who preceded her in death on April 18, 1991. After her retirement from Weather-Tamer, Mrs. Dixon served as a hostess at Hardee's on Hampshire Pike and a door greeter at K-Mart. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters, Beverly Dixon (Dan) Mayfield of Hixson; Denise Dixon (Joe) Camacho of Fort Worth, Texas; Cindy Dixon (Michael) Gilbert of New Iberia, Louisiana; one son, William R. (Patricia) Dixon of Rockledge, Florida; three sisters, Edith (Hardin) Voss of Glendale Community; Jean (Bobby) Childrey of Columbia; Peggy (Bill) Jones of Culleoka; two brothers, Wendell (Patsy) Wilson of Columbia; Douglas (Jane) Wilson of Franklin; nine grandchildren, Margaret (Don) Foster, Daniel (Virginia) Mayfield, Jennifer (Brian) Miller, William J. Dixon, Emily Grace Dixon, Amber M. Dukes, Mark A. Slaughter, Kodie A. Gilbert, Alison N. Gilbert; four great grandchildren, Michelle Foster, William Mayfield, Bailey Miller, Reagan Garcia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Milton Wilson, Charles Wilson, and Bobby Wayne Wilson; and one sister, Beatrice Wilson Hobbs. Pallbearers will be nephews and Mike Lentz. Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Eastside Church of Christ and Mike Shires.
