View Funeral Webcast Reba Jewell Huckaby Jones, 88, longtime resident of Trousdale Lane, died Saturday at The Bridge of Columbia. A private family service will be held Sunday at Oakes & Nichols that will be webcast and posted at www.oakesandnichols.com. The family will visit with friends and have a public graveside service Sunday at 4:45 P.M. at Jones Cemetery. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The family to adhere to CDC Guidelines of social distancing and recommends facial covering while attending the funeral services. Born June 4, 1932 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Marshall Huckaby, Sr. and the late Eula Frances Ring Huckaby. She attended Beechland School in the Bear Creek community. On October 1, 1949, she married Fredrick Lee “Fred” Jones, who preceded her in death on October 13, 1995. Mrs. Jones worked as a seamstress at Burt’s Dress Shop for many years, and later worked at Creations by J.J. and continued doing in home alterations. She loved spending time cooking, canning, and gardening. Mrs. Jones was a member of the South Gate Church of Christ. She is survived by her son, James Kenneth (Samantha) Jones of Paragould, AK; daughters, Freda Kay (Duane) Allen of Columbia, TN, Dorothy Ann “Dottie” (Johnny) Jaggers of Hampshire, TN, and Jeanette Lynn Norman of Columbia, TN; brother, Joe Marshall (Irene) Huckaby, Jr. of Columbia, TN; sister, Frances Juanita (Tony) Hie of Columbia; grandchildren, Shannon Jones, Ken Jones, Bubba Allen, Lori Kay Allen, Candice Campbell, Brett Arthur Cole, Jenny Lynn Dickson, and Will Norman; 21 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Thomas Shane Cole; sisters, Rachel Elise Farless, Annie Lou Hill; and brothers, Eugene Huckaby, Clifton “Jip” Huckaby, James A. Huckaby, and Douglas Huckaby. Active pallbearers will include her grandsons. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at The Bridge of Columbia, NHC Columbia, Dr. Gaylon Harris, and Dr. Charles Ball.
