View Video Tribute Rebecca Asay Sterling was called home to be with her Lord and Savior and she eagerly met her maker. Rebecca was born in Terre Haute, IN on September 13, 1948, to the late Allen Houston Asay and late Alice McCoy Asay. Those left to cherish her memory include, but not limited to, her daughter Teresa Wenzel Cepicky (Scott), and daughter Tracee Wenzel Lewis. Rebecca really loved her grand-children: Gabriel Cepicky, Amelia Lewis, and Daniel Cepicky. In her younger days, Rebecca enjoyed working on Wall Street and would strive and succeeded in a high-paced environment. She enjoyed traveling and visited 50 Countries. In her mature years, Rebecca enjoyed peace and became faithful. She even lived as a missionary in South America for four years. She came home and settled in as her role of Ghee-Ghee enjoying and loving all that grand-children bring. Mrs. Sterling was a member of Brentwood Baptist Church, and Mensa & Intertel. I pledged allegiance to Yahshua (Jesus), only begotten Son of Yahweh, Most High God, and to His Kingdom, which will begin soon on this earth, operating for 1000 years without enemy (the '7th day rest'). Then, our hearts, words and actions will all be judged compared to what we knew to do; and if we are allowed, our lives will continue from 'New Zion', a 'fresh start' outside the physical laws of time and space ('heaven'). I accepted this life as 'pre-Kingdom school and job interview', with the most trusted positions then - being filled by those who most carefully hear and obey His will. I am grateful that none of us are on the exact same path, so we may not judge each other. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 5:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 3:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. The family suggest memorials to Hopewell Cemetery, 3806 Hopewell Road, Culleoka, TN 38451, or Alive Hospice in Nashville, 1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Active pallbearers will be Gabriel Cepicky, Daniel Cepicky, and friends.
