Rebecca Hamilton Parham

Mrs. Rebecca Hamilton Parham, 77, retired bank services representative, died Thursday, March 20, 2008 at her residence on Woodmont Dr. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Wright officiating. Burial will be in Cave Springs Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late James Morton Hamilton and Eunice Mabee Hamilton. On January 2, 1949, she married Hardie C. Parham, Jr. who preceded her in death January 26, 2005. She was a 1949 graduate of Columbia Central High School and retired from FISI-Madison Financial. Mrs. Parham was a member of First Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant. Survivors include three daughters, Lynn (Carl) Brooks of Mt. Pleasant, Joyce (Barry) Crotzer of Columbia, Dorothy (Marty) Crowder of Hartsville; one son, Michael (Kim) Parham of Hendersonville; one brother, Jimmy (Willomae) Hamilton of Mt. Pleasant; ten grandchildren, Kaitlin Parham, Hardie Parham, Kevin (Sarah) Brooks, Burton Brooks, Jill Brooks, Christopher (Michelle) McClain, Jenna Crotzer, William Crowder, Katie Crowder, Elisabeth Crowder; and four great-grandchildren, Carson Lee Brooks, Caroline Alexis Brooks, Jordan McClain and Brittany McClain. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy White and Harriet Sudberry. Active pallbearers are Kevin Brooks, Burton Brooks, Christopher McClain, Hardie Parham, Taylor Hamilton, Wiley White, Rusty White, Marlin Sudberry and Randy Stanfill. Honorary pallbearers will be Luther Parham, Mavis Pitts and the staff and patrons of Maury County Senior Citizens Center and Trousdale County Senior Citizens Center.
