Mrs. Rebecca Agent West, 83, retired seamstress and longtime resident of Hardison Road, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Life Care Center.éFuneral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Peery officiating.é Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.é Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com.éThe Maury County native was the daughter of the late Clarence Henry Agent and Virginia Hammox Agent.é She was married to J. B. West, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1994.é Mrs. West retired from Dixie Manufacturing.é She was a member of West Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church.éSurvivors include one son, J. B. (Gladys) West of Columbia; three daughters, Judy King, Peggy Alexander, and Shirley (Rodger) Pilkinton, all of Columbia; two brothers, Robert Vance Agent of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; Ellis Harold Agent of Columbia; one sister, Clara Maxie Haywood of Columbia; five grandchildren, Sonya (Don) Wyatt, Jason (Linda) West, Shane (Shinnie) Alexander, Misti (Brian) Griggs, and Todd (Shanna) Alexander; nine great grandchildren, Savannah (Jonathan) Stanfill, Carson Wyatt, Ethan Wyatt, Hannah Alexander, Emma Alexander, Abby Griggs, Ashley Alexander, Bailey Alexander, and Emily Stanfill; and several nieces and nephews.éPallbearers will be Don Wyatt, Jason West, Shane Alexander, Todd Alexander, Brian Griggs, and Jonathan Stanfill.é éThe family wishes to express a special thanks to Dr. Thomas Dake and her caregivers at Life Care Center.
