Rebecca Ann Terry Woody of Atlanta and Hayesville, NC, known as Becky to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2007 of complications form breast cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends whom she loved extraordinarily and unconditionally in return. She was born in Wilson, North Carolina on July 6, 1942 and was the first born child of James Raymond Terry and Rebecca Pearce Terry. Becky spent her early childhood years in North Carolina and her later childhood and adolescent years in Moultrie and Thomasville, Georgia and was a 1960 graduate of Thomasville High School.Becky attended Mercer and Georgia State Universities. As an active volunteer, she served the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra through her work with the Atlanta Symphony Associates and served as chairperson of the 27th Annual Decorators' Showhouse in 1997 and an annual Sleighbell Luncheon and Fashion Show. She was also active on behalf of UNICEF and the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School. She was a member of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church and a member of the Blazers Sunday School Class, for which she had special affection.Becky is survived by her husband of forty years, Wayne Woody, sister, Libby Martin of Little Mountain, SC, sister and brother in law, Sally and Lundie Smith of Valdosta, GA, brother and sister in law, Jim and Dot Terry of Lilburn, GA, brother and sister in law, John and Angela Terry of Bonaire, GA brother in law, Fred Woody of Corsicana, TX, sister in law, Martha Woody of Columbia, TN, mother in law, Elizabeth Woody of Columbia, TN, and cousin and special friend Dottie Wilkerson of Sylvania, OH. She was filled with love and pride each day for each of her nieces and nephews Aimee McMillen, Erin Kestner, Whitney Delbridge, Jennifer Terry, Lauren Terry, Ashley Terry, Jeff Woody and Jason Woody, and grandnieces Emily and Elizabeth Woody, Carter McMillen and grandnephew Blake Kestner.A memorial service in her honor will be held on April 27, 2007 at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM. Graveside services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Santa Fe Cemetery with Rev. Calvin Lunn officiating.The family suggests contributions in her memory be made to Susan G.
