Mrs. Regina Lasley Mrs. Regina Mann Lasley, 82, retired employee of Hewgley's Music Shop and longtime resident of the Old Williamsport Pike, died Monday, June 27, 2005, at Gallatin Health Care. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at Riverside United Methodist Church with Rev. Ray Newell officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 3:00 - 6:00 P.M. at Riverside United Methodist Church. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 P.M. Thursday at Marvins Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Brownsville. Memorials may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, P. O. The Brownsville, Tennessee, native was the daughter of the late William Egbert Mann and Minnie Suddath Mann. She was married to John Thomas Lasley, Sr., who preceded her in death on November 10, 2000. She was a 1940 graduate of Haywood County High School in Brownsville and Jackson Business College. She and her husband moved to Columbia in 1944 and she was employed at the old Godwin Plant of Tennessee Valley Authority in the late 1940s and early 1950s, and after that at Hewgley's Music Shop. An accomplished musician, Mrs. Lasley served for more than forty years as organist at Riverside United Methodist Church, and was also organist at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home for many years. She had more recently served as assistant organist at McCain's Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, where she had served on the Administrative Board and was church treasurer for several years. She had served as president of the Wesleyan Service Guild and president of United Methodist Women, and was a longtime treasurer of that organization.Mrs. Lasley was a member of Captain James Madison Sparkman Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy and Jane Knox Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Reese's Memorial Cemetery Association, Maury County Historical Society, and the Association of Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities. Survivors include one son, John Thomas (Linda) Lasley, Jr. of Gallatin; three grandchildren, Margaret Regina Lasley-Thompson and Jill Mary Lasley, both of Gallatin; Jayden Mann Lasley of St. Mary, Georgia; three great grandchildren, Chelsea Taylor, Corbin Lasley-Thompson, and Caden Lasley-Thompson, all of Gallatin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Eleanor Joyner; two brothers, Harold Mann and Randall Mann; and two nephews, Bill Joyner and Randy Mann. Pallbearers will be Pat Williams, David Williams, Addis Taylor, Addis Taylor, Jr., Jayden Lasley, Michael Marbury, and Spike Marbury. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class, Administrative Board, and Love Boat at Riverside United Methodist Church.
