Leona "Rena" Hardison Collins Mrs. Leona "Rena" Hardison Collins, 75, resident of Lasea Road in Columbia, died Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral Services for Mrs. Collins will be conducted at 12:00 noon Friday at Oakes & Nichols Chapel with Jack White and Ewing Neelley officiating. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday after 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, c/o Martha McKennon, P.O. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Ivo and Alta Brown Hardison. She was married to Kelly Collins for fifty-four years and was a member of the New Lasea Church of Christ. She retired from South Central Bell after twenty-eight years of service as a telephone operator and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Collins is survived by one son, Doyle (Sandy) Collins of Columbia; two grandchildren, Brandon (Juanita) Collins of St. Louis, Missouri and Sasheene (Gideon) Bostwick of Columbia and several cousins. Pallbearers will be Ben Gary, James Gary, Kyle Hulen, Steve Marshall, Billy Chesnut and Dale Ring. Honorary pallbearers will be Christine Morgan, Martha Milan, Carolyn Moore, Bobby and Peggy Sampson, Dr. Cummins Couch, Members of New Lasea Church of Christ, and her friends and neighbors of the New Lasea Community.
