Richard Allen "Rickey" Kennedy

Richard Allen “Rickey” Kennedy, 66, retired Garbage Truck Driver for Hughes Disposable, died Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at his residence on Jones Valley Road in Williamsport.   Private family services will be held at a later date. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements and condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.   Born August 29, 1952 in Williamson County, he was the son of the late James Allen Kennedy and the late Ada Lee Griggs Kennedy. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Kennedy enjoyed yardwork, flowers, and watching his chickens. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved watching westerns.   Survivors include his wife, whom he married, June 12, 1979, Lori Ann Johnson Kennedy of Williamsport; daughters, Jennie Marie Kennedy, Stephanie Lee Kennedy; son, James Elvis Kennedy; ten grandchildren; brother, James Lester Kennedy; sisters, Peggy Ann (Henry) Vega, Lois (Salvador) Jasso, Myrtle (George) McCandless; sisters-in-law, Sheryl (Tim) Long, Connie Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Kennedy; and sister, Joyce Kennedy.
