Richard Ray Ragsdale

Mr. Richard Ray "Richie" Ragsdale, 38, employee of the Spur Station and resident of West Twelfth Street, died Sunday, September 21, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, at Santa Fe Cemetery with Rev. David Graves officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of Richard Truman Ragsdale of Columbia and the late Barbara Ann Anderson Ragsdale. He was a former employee of CPS in Franklin. Survivors in addition to his father are one daughter, Starr Ann Ragsdale of New York; three half-brothers Jeremy Ragsdale and Bryce Anthony Ragsdale both of Columbia, Dennis Ragsdale of Franklin; two half-sisters, Susan Wood and Trudy Hinson both of Columbia; two step-sisters, Alice Dooley of Columbia, Teresa Mason of Culleoka; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Keith Hinson, Ray Anderson, Kenny Ragsdale, Randy Ragsdale, Carman Wood and Daniel McCandless. Honorary pallbearer is Dr. Mark Messenger.
