Robbie Edean "Dean" Scott

Robbie Edean "Dean" Pirtle Scott, 85, resident of Overton Drive, died Friday, May 5, 2017, at Life Care Center of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Kimbrough officiating. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery in the Petersburg Community. The family will visit with friends Monday from 2:00 - 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born July 4, 1931, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Orville Pirtle and the late Hattie Elizabeth Whitt Pirtle. Her husband, George William Scott, preceded her in death June 19, 2007. Mrs. Scott operated a daycare in her home for many years. She was a member of First Family Baptist Church in Columbia. Survivors include her sons, Michael (Jane) Scott of Columbia; Rev. Tom (Amelia) Scott of Columbus, Georgia; brother, Cecil Pirtle of Alabama; grandchildren, Emily Jane Scott of Columbia; Erin (Jeff) Stillwell of Columbus, Georgia; Drew (Jessica) Scott of Panama City, Florida; and great grandchildren, Kourtney Goff, Robert Goff, and Sawyer Scott. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
