Robert M "Bob" Brewer

View Video Tribute View Funeral WebcastRobert M. "Bob" Brewer, 86, life-long minister, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at his residence on Stonewall Road. Born December 2, 1930 in Davidson County, Tennessee, he was the sixth son of the late Charles R. and Robbie Ward Brewer. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Jett Brewer, whom he married February 9, 1985; children, Catherine Ward Brewer; Robert Manson Brewer, Jr.; Patricia Campbell (Chris) Wilson; Helen Elizabeth (Red) Graves; Malinda Knox (Don) Fletcher; Knox Campbell Brewer; Neika Winder (John) Wright; Evelyn's sons, Richard (Joyce) Myers and Dwight (Monica) Myers: nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Schumann Brewer; sister, Neika Stephens; and his shih tzu's, Puddin' and Figgie. Mr. Brewer was known and loved by the Church of Christ community throughout Maury and surrounding counties, having preached for several years at the Theta Church of Christ. Bob and Evelyn have been active members of Graymere Church of Christ for several years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William Dean, Charles Ward, Beryl Caldwell, and Sterling Newman Brewer. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be Knox Campbell Brewer; Harold "Red" Graves; Don Fletcher; Dalton Locke; J. B. West; Richard Myers, and Dwight Myers. Honorary pallbearers include Elders of Graymere Church of Christ, Robert M. Brewer, Jr. and Dr. Ruth Lamar.
