Robert Curtis "Bob" Dugger, Sr., 76, retired truck driver and resident of Big Oak Lake Road in Spring Hill, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at NHC Columbia.Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Craig Evans and Wayne Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. He was a 1959 graduate of Culleoka High School. A former house parent for the Tennessee Children's Home and also at one time ran the farm at the children's home. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and being a big part of his grandson Ryan's life. He was a member of Spring Hill Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 57 years whom he married September 6, 1960, Joyce Ann Hickman Dugger of Spring Hill; sons, Robert Curtis Dugger, Jr. of Spring Hill; Jay Scott Dugger of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Elizabeth (Andy) Sajovic of Culleoka; brothers, Henry Clay (Charlie Ann) Dugger, Jr. of Columbia; William Dugger of Cornersville; Charles (Sandra) Dugger of Lynnville; Ronald Dugger of Knoxville; Don (Donna) Dugger of Columbia; sisters, Virginia (Doug) Tyree of Lewisburg; Carolyn Andrews of Culleoka; Margaret Chapman of Lewisburg; Laquita Hobby of Mooresville; Darlene (Joe) Alexander of Culleoka; Kathy (Mike) Richardson of Culleoka; grandchildren, Amber Dugger (Jeff) Clardy of Culleoka; Ryan Dugger of Spring Hill; Kailie Dugger of Chandler, Arizona; Tristan Dugger of Chandler, Arizona; Jaycie Dugger of Chandler, Arizona; Jayda Sajovic of Culleoka; Wesley Sajovic of Culleoka; great grandchildren, Landon Bardwell; Logan Bardwell; Tensley Clardy; sisters-in-law, Linda (Wayne) Tomlin; Carolyn Hickman; brothers-in-law, Doug Hickman; Mike (Judy) Hickman; several nieces and nephews; Timmy Ward and many other special foster children from the Tennessee Children's Home.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by daughters, Jennifer Dee Dugger on March 31, 1968; and Kellie Ann Dugger on August 29, 1970; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jackie Dugger, Nellie Dugger, Waymon Andrews, Wayne Chapman, Leonard Hobby, Harold Dean and Peggy Hickman, James Gordon and Maude Hickman, Billy Hickman; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gordon and Bertie Mae Hickman; and nephews, David (Shannon) Hobby; Tommy Chapman; and Kyle Tyree.
