BOB GRISSIM Mr. Robert Donnell "Bob" Grissim, 77, retired manager of Fisher Electric Company and resident of General Roberts Drive, died Monday, October 20, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 P.M. Thursday at West End Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Collins officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Wilson County native was the son of the late Robert Donnell Grissim and Lillie Lee Norris Grissim. He was a 1944 graduate of Lebanon High School. Mr. Grissim was a charter member of West End Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, was a member of the Berean Sunday School Class, and was the first trustee of the church. He was a former member of the Columbia Civitan Club. Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, Mildred Cox Grissim of Columbia; one daughter, Jane (Rick) Craft of Columbia; two grandchildren, Robert William "Will" Craft and Kellee Laine Craft, both of Columbia; three sisters, Margaret Palmer of Murfreesboro; Betty (Billy) Williams and Mary Hube (Claude) Thompson, both of Lebanon; and one sister-in-law, Callie Grissim of Huntsville. He was preceded in death by one brother, William Norris Grissim. Pallbearers will be Robert Grissim Thompson, Kenneth Mullinax, William N. Grissim, Robert William Craft, Thomas Burton Palmer, Howard Brown, Jr., and James Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons and members of the Berean Sunday School Class of West End Baptist Church.
