Robert Charles Hairston

Mr. Robert Charles Hairston, 64, glass cutter for Raleigh Glass Company in Memphis and retired Sergeant in the U. S. Air Force, died Saturday, January 7, 2005 at Veterans Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Don Smith officiating. Military honors will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. Burial will be in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday after 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include his twin sister, Ruth Franklin of Columbia; a brother, Ralph (Sandy) Hairston of Millington; two nieces, Tammy (Don) McCollum and Donna (Tommy) Jarrett, both of Memphis; a nephew, Michael Allen (fiancé Jennifer Elliott) Franklin of Columbia; a great-nephew, Troy Melum of Memphis; two great-nieces, Amber McCollum of Memphis and Brooklyn Marie Franklin of Columbia.
