Mr. Robert Blaine Hyle, Sr., 88, retired from Southern Sash as a cabinet builder and carpenter and resident of Hatcher Lane, died Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital.Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Jim Gardner and Steve Blackwell officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The Maury County native was son of the late Louie Hyle and Fannie Posey Hyle. He attended Maury County schools and served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Mr. Hyle was a long-time member of Craft Memorial United Methodist Church and Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jane (Earl) Cathey of Hampshire; a son, Robert Blaine (Joyce) Hyle, Jr. of Columbia; a sister, Doris Morton; three grandchildren, Allen Hyle (Tennille) Cathey, Robert Blaine (Janna) Hyle, III, and Jennifer Hyle (Ronnie) King; two great-grandchildren, Eli Hyle and Chase Logan Cathey; very special friends, Bobby Harris, Sr. and Rich Graham; loving pet, Goldie. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mary Lucille Angus Hyle; five sisters, Rena Spencer, Georgia Vernon, Dorothy McCullum, Rosa Lee Grubbs, and Adelia Grubbs; and three brothers, Lewis Hyle, Billy Hyle, and Henry Hyle. Active pallbearers are Bobby Harris, Sr., Rich Graham, George Horne, Danny Angus, Melvin Gibson, J. O. Thurman, Wayne Pogue, Ocial Sharpton, Billy Oliver, and Charles Cook. Honorary pallbearers include Rex Pogue, Jimmy Cranford, Andy Hunter, Drs. Daniel, Moore, and Kennedy, members of Craft Memorial United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Class, Retirement Home Singers, and Kevin Carpenter.
