View Funeral WebcastRobert David "Doc" Johnson, 63, former supervisor with AP Tenntech in Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at his residence on Goodman Lane in Hampshire. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rock Jaggers officiating. Burial will follow in Worley Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Worley Cemetery, c/o Steve Riley, 4966 Whiteside Road, Hampshire, TN 38461. Born November 21, 1954, in Maury County, he was the son of the late Leonard Jones "Doc" Johnson and the late Margaret Rachael Davis Johnson. He was a 1973 graduate of Hampshire High School and had previously been employed at Stauffer Chemical Company and PSC Fabricating. Mr. Johnson was an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed playing cards at Hampshire Men's Club and fishing. One of his greatest pleasures was "kicking a block". Survivors include his son, Robert Brandon Johnson of Hampshire; daughter, Megan Zianna Baker of Hampshire; sister, Linda Akin of Hampshire; dear friend and mother of his children, Robin Beaver Johnson of Haleyville, Alabama; grandchildren, Tucker Riley Davis of Hampshire, Alexis Zianna Johnson of Haleyville, Alabama, and Hunter Lane Baker of Hampshire; niece, Melissa (Todd) Baxter of Santa Fe; great niece, Rachael Baxter of Santa Fe; and great nephew, Tanner Baxter of Santa Fe. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Johnson; niece, Carole Akin; and great nephew, Cody Baxter. Active pallbearers will be Jimbo Patton, Nicky Westmoreland, Johnny Jaggers, Tanner Baxter, Sam Davis, Little Billy Carroll, Earl Cathey, Terry Whiteside, Richard Wilkes, and Luke Jones. Honorary pallbearers will include Tucker Riley Davis, Hunter Lane Baker, Alexis Zianna Johnson, Cindy Pruitt, Bobby Bain, Snowball Mayberry, members of Hampshire Men's Club, and Friends at Mt. Pleasant Sales.
