Robert W Riley

Mr. Robert William "Bob" Riley, 88, retired farmer and logger and resident of the Greenfield Bend Community, died Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at NHC Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Steve Holmes officiating. Burial will be in Greenfield Bend Cemetery. The Hickman County native was the son of the late George Riley and Lessie Vandiver Riley. On November 18, 1939 he married Edna Allie Davis Riley who preceded him in death February 24, 1984. Mr. Riley was a member of Greenfield Bend Church of Christ. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Fay (David Wayne) Gordon of Greenfield Bend; three sisters, Opie Collier of Culleoka, Addie Baxter and Joann Anderson both of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Riley in 1993, and a sister, Onnie Baxter. Pallbearers will be Jerry Davis, Kenny Davis, Loyce Young Anderson, G.W. Riley, Joe Simmons, Thomas Davis and Gene Ray Baxter.
