Robert Edward Shaw

Robert Edward Shaw, 44, died Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at his residence on Theta Pike. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Roberts officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Los Angeles, California, he was the son of Edward I. Shaw of Orange, California and the late Doris Guyer Shaw. He was a graduate of Villa Park High School and attended college in California and Tennessee. Mr. Shaw was an avid hunter and enjoyed being outdoors and working on his farm. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Sarah Boring Shaw of Columbia; two daughters, Kerstin Raelynne Shaw and Breanna Evangiline Shaw, both of Columbia; two sisters, Michele Shaw (Ray) Williams of Riverside, California; Susan Benneyworth of Nashville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred and Donna Boring of Columbia; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Christine and Michael Bluitt of Michigan; brother-in-law, Michael James (Jennifer) Boring of Lewisburg; sister-in-law, Tanya Carson of Columbia; and brother-in-law, Michael Carson of Michigan.
