Mr. Robert Lee Stewart, 53, resident of South High Street, died Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Santa Fe Cemetery with pastor Rocky Cunningham officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Rollie Stewart and Elsie Hutcherson Stewart. He attended Santa Fe School and had been a tree topper and roofer before becoming disabled. Survivors include a daughter, Tiffany (Chris) Garrett of Culleoka; granddaughter, Stephanie Garrett of Culleoka; close friends, Paula "Susie" Hanvy and Terry Hanvy of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Betty (Richard) Reed of Thompson's Station, Shirley Stewart of Alabama; five brothers, Paul Stewart, Chester Stewart, Leonard Stewart all of Columbia, Tommy (Linda) Stewart of Nashville, Wesley Stewart of Clarksville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Tanner Garrett, and two brothers, Roy Stewart and Raymond Stewart. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
