Robert Edward Zumbrunn

Mr. Robert Edward Zumbrunn, 89, a resident of Fry Branch Road in Lynnville, died Friday, July 16, 2021 at his residence. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Lynnville First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Blake Hawthorne officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Ottawa Hill Cemetery in Ottawa, Ohio. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born January 6, 1932 he was the son of the late Walter John Zumbrunn and the late Dorothy Wilcox Zumbrunn. On July 19, 1952 he married Lorene Ida Tuckerman Zumbrunn who preceded him in death on April 3, 2019. He was a retired credit manager for Wickes Lumber Company in Indianapolis. Mr. Zumbrunn was a boat master in Florida and was affiliated as an Indian guide with the Boy Scouts Club of America. Earlier in life, he enjoyed golfing and fishing. He attended the Lynnville First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his son, Steven (Donna) Zumbrunn of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughters, Cynthia (Tim) Steinmeyer of Silver Lake, Indiana and Cheryl (Robert) Daugherty of Lynnville, Tennessee; brothers, Walter Duane (Frances) Zumbrunn of Leesburg, Florida, Jacque A. (Ruthie) Zumbrunn of Greenwood, Indiana; sister-in-law, Florence Zumbrunn of, Toledo, Ohio; granddaughters, Sarah Steinmeyer of Arizona, Elizabeth Steinmeyer of Indiana, Rachel (Titus) Emery of Indiana, Anne (Eric) Taylor of West Virginia, Megan (Jason Clarke) Zumbrunn of Missouri, Cailtlin (Sean) McNally of Tennessee and Sergeant Kristen Zumbrunn of North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Abram Emery, Philip Emery, Tyler Steinmeyer, Brantley Steinmeyer, Braxton Taylor, Luke Taylor, Josie Taylor, and Graham McNally; a host of nieces and nephews; two granddogs, Shasta & Sable. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Clayton “Butch” Zumbrunn. The family would like to extend special thanks to his caregiver, Sandra Stokes who provided him with excellent care.
