Mrs. Roberta Cook Johnson, 85, retired employee of Tennessee Knitting Mills and former resident of West Seventeenth Street, died Friday, January 12, 2007, at Maury Regional Hospital.Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Vann officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Thomas Gilbert Cook and Mary Florence Bolton Cook. She was married to Paul Mitchell Johnson who preceded her in death on February 10, 1999. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Craft Memorial United Methodist Church and the Sunshine Class. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Tanna (Randy) Carroll of Columbia; two sons, Kenneth (Charlene) Johnson of McKaysville, Georgia; Rick L. Johnson of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Jason (Allison) Johnson, Melissa Johnson, Josh Carroll, Stacy Johnson, Karen (Allen) Massey, Jaime Carroll, Shane Johnson; great grandchildren, Wesley Holder, Brett Holder, Cole Holder, Mitch Johnson, Jarrett Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Jewell Massey; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold & Era Dell Johnson, Gerald & Robbie Weatherford, Mildred Johnson. She was preceded in death by her half-sister, Sadie Cook. Pallbearers will be Shane Johnson, Josh Carroll, Jaime Carroll, Jason Johnson, Michael Holder, Gary Weatherford, and Ray Flowers.
