Mr. Robert Wayne "Bob" Billingsley, 57, self-employed mechanic, died Friday, June 17, 2005 at his residence on East 8th Street. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Doug McCandless officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Old Brush Cemetery in Portland, Tennessee. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent towww.oakesandnichols.com. The Davidson County native was the son of the late Vader Lee Billingsley and Maudie Lee Dinkley Billingsley. Survivors include three daughters, Lanisha Billingsley of Portland, Nancy (Teddy) Shepherd and Lorine (Ed) King, both of Lewisburg; nine sons, Robert W. Billingsley, II of Peoria, Illinois, Howard (Sue) Bryant, Robert Bryant, Lester (Rose) Bryant, Tommy (Carol) Bryant, all of Columbia, Roger (Jennifer) Bryant, Stanley (Rose) Bryant, Steve (Joann) Bryant, both of Lewisburg, Paul Bryant of Memphis; a sister, Ruby (David) Peters of Peoria, Illinois; six brothers, Roy (Betty) Bilingsley of Shelbyville, James Groves of Portland, Donald Billingsley, Paul Billingsley, Huey (Molly) Billingsley, Howard Billingsley, all of Peoria, Illinois; special friends, Lomna Morton and Mary Brown of Columbia; thirty grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte LaBraney; two sons, Randall Bryant and Herschel Bryant; a sister, Carolyn Cole; two granddaughters, Holly Bryant and Jessica Shepherd Bryant. Pallbearers are Teddy Shepherd, Richard Johnston, Jeff Olive, David Peters, Floyd Morton, Brandon West, and Roger Bryant.
