Roger Darwin Donahe

July 30, 1935 — August 9, 2006

Mr. Roger Darwin Donahe, 71, retired insurance adjuster and resident of Sunnyside Lane, died Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Vaughan and Wendell Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 3 - 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Graymere Church of Christ Mission Funds, 1320 Trotwood Ave., Columbia, TN 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Ft. Dodge, Iowa native was the son of the late Leonard Donahe and Helen Brooks Donahe. He was a graduate of Edgar High School in Edgar, Nebraska and earned his Bachelor's degree from David Lipscomb University in Nashville. He served in the United States Air Force for eight years. Mr. Donahe was employed by U.S.F & G Insurance for twenty-five years then later worked for Public Risk as Supervisor of Claims. He was a member of Graymere Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Louise Parker Donahe of Columbia; one daughter, Jackie (Tim) Park of Columbia; two grandchildren, Trevor Park and Rachel Park; three sisters, Mrs. Gwen (Roger) Eurich of Crete, Nebraska, Mrs. Judy (Larry) Handy and Mrs. Ann (Bill) Hansen both of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; and one brother, David (Louise) Donahe of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be D.C. Neeley, Eddie Harris, Leon Whitlatch, Toby Clark, Jack Parker, James Parker, and Tim Park. Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Graymere Church of Christ.
