View Funeral Webcast Ronald Gene "Ronnie" Rogers, 68, resident of Greenview Drive, died Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Monty McCandless officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Maury County native was the son of the late Elmer Henry Rogers and Grace Landreth Rogers and attended Columbia Central High School. He was a member of Faith Pentecostal Church and the Fruit of the Vine organization. For a number of years he was employed by W. M. White Construction Company at Union Carbide Corporation. He also was a self-employed home builder for many years and worked with his long-time friend and partner, David "Rabbit" Sanders with R & R Amusement Company. An avid racing fan, he built and raced his own cars. Most recently he was confined to his bed due to a stroke, but enjoyed watching old westerns. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Jean Ary Rogers, whom he married November 6, 1966; children, Tammy Brooks, Robbie (Paula) Treadwell, Terry (Gaye) Treadwell, Rhonda Harrison Rogers, and Marie; grandchildren, Tanessia Meyers, Amanda (Mickey) Prince, Matthew Brooks, Courtney Treadwell, Cainan Treadwell, and Tiffany Webster; great-grandchildren, Julie, Megan, Haley, Chastin, and Addison; sisters, Linda Bassham and Hope (Jim) Fullington; brothers, Buddy (Katherine) Rogers and Douglas (Norma) Rogers; loyal dog, Gracie; several nieces and nephews; faithful sitter, Georgia Watkins; and many friends. Active pallbearers are E. Henry Rogers, David Lentz, Wayne Rogers, Johnny Mitchell, Terry Treadwell, Robbie Treadwell, and Henry Stilwell. Honorary pallbearers include Leslie Fly, Dr. Gaylon Harris and Maury Regional Medical Center staff.
