Ronald W. "Ron" McKee, 62, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017, of complications from pneumonia. At the time of his death, he was surrounded by family and friends. Born June 26, 1954, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ronald Wayne "Stub" McKee and the late Margaret Ann "Marge" Wells McKee. Ron spent many of his years in Colorado before he relocated to Columbia, Tennessee to be near his family. He was a simple man with a huge heart who loved his family and friends very much. Many of his nieces and nephews remember his kindness, willingness to help whenever needed and his words of wisdom. He brought many good times, smiles and laughter to anyone he knew. Survivors include his wife, Crystal McKee of Columbia; daughters, Maygon McKee of Columbia and Elizabeth McKee of Colorado; stepson, John Baker of Kansas; sisters, Lori McKee of Mt Vernon, Ohio and Lisa McKee of Gallatin; sisters-in-law, Tina Lamb McKee and Sandy Overby McKee; nephews, Wes McKee and Austin McKee; nieces, Kelly McKee Beletanga, Kristin McKee, Amanda McKee, and Ashley Zerweck; and special friend, Heidi Lacy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike McKee and Doug McKee.
