MR. RONALD E. PRINCE Mr. Ronald E. Prince, 57, retired from the U. S. Postal Service with 35 years service and a resident of the Sowell Mill Pike, died Saturday, March 13, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Clay Derryberry officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Davidson County, he was the son of the late William Prince and Lola Hubbell Prince Dunn. He was a 1964 graduate of Columbia Central High School and a member of the Church of Christ. He served in the Tennessee National Guard from 1965 to 1976. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Long Prince of Columbia; two daughters, Tammy (Kent) Stewmon of Lewisburg and Emily (fiance' Rodney Overdorf) Prince of Pickerington, Ohio; a son, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Prince of Lake Charles, Louisiana; a sister, Patsy (Freddie) Stewmon of Lewisburg; a brother, Eddie (Annette) Prince of Oxford, Georgia; grandchildren, Ethan Stewmon, Taylor Scott, Sarah Prince, Samantha Overdorf, Ian Overdorf. He was preceded in death by a step-sister, Jane Whitt and a step-brother, Leon Dunn. Active pallbearers are Richard Bennett, Ron Kinzer, Adrian Kinzer, Mike Sherman, Stephen Prince, Chuck Brown, John Churchwell, Rodney Overdorf, Jeffrey Prince. Retired Postal employees will serve as honorary pallbearers.
