Ronald Wayne Tate, Jr., 42, died Wednesday, November 9, 2005 in Largo, Florida, where he had made his home for the past few years. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Joe Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. A longtime resident of Maury County, he was the son of the late Ronald Wayne Tate, Sr. and Mary Ann Nelson Tate Wyatt. He was a 1981 graduate of Columbia Central High School and employed as an optician. Survivors include one son, Duston Wayne Tate of Spring Hill; four brothers, David (Shannon) Wyatt of Summertown; Dane (Joanna) Wyatt of Paducah, Kentucky; Todd Tate and Kevin (Dana) Wyatt, both of Columbia; one sister, Dara (Steve) Botts of Summertown; paternal grandmother, Birdie Mae Chapman Tate of Lewisburg; stepfather, Jim Wyatt of Summertown; beloved friend, Sonja Giddens of Largo, Florida; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends in Largo, Florida. Pallbearers will be Brian Riddle, Justin Riddle, Brian Emerson, and Steve Botts.
