Rothie Nell Holder Moore

Mrs. Rothie Nell Holder Moore, 78, homemaker and retired seamstress for Burt's Dress Shop and resident of Shiloh Circle, died Saturday, August 18, 2007 at NHC Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Pastor Steve Blackwell officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 12:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Craft Memorial United Methodist Church, 907 Hatcher Lane, Columbia 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Perry County native was the daughter of the late John Jefferson Holder and Mary Josephine Lineberry Holder and a graduate of Frank Hughes High School in Clifton. She was a long-time member of Craft Memorial United Methodist Church and Bear Creek Home Demonstration Club.She was married December 24, 1950 to Jack Rinehart Moore, who died May 23, 1999. Survivors include two daughters, Janis Durham and Jackie Kaye Moore of Columbia; a grandson, J. J. Durham of Columbia; two brothers, Wallace Earl (Villa Sue) Holder and Hollie (Mildred) Holder, both of Clifton; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Holder and two brothers, Winfred Holder and Billy C. Holder. Active pallbearers are Jeffrey Holder, Jason Holder, Norman Holder, Lee Derryberry, Robert Moore, Jim Harkey, Dennis Moore, David Harkey, and Eddie Ables. Honorary pallbearers include retired employees of Burt's Dress Shop.
