Roy Brown Andrews 82, resident of Greely Drive, died Monday, June 13, 2016 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rex Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be made to Highland Church of Christ Building Fund, 497 East James Campbell Blvd., Columbia, TN 38401. He retired from Occidental Chemical Company as a heavy equipment operator and worked more than 20 years for Auto Zone. He enjoyed camping at NACO and fishing. Mr. Andrews was a member of Highland Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife whom he married June 25, 1955, Billie Baker Andrews of Columbia; daughter, Debbie (John) Jackson of Columbia; son, Ricky Andrews of Columbia; granddaughter, Brecca (Jason) Snyder; grandson, Elliott (Sarah) Andrews; great grandchildren, Andrew Snyder, Matthew Snyder, Luke Snyder, Kaylee Andrews, Caleb Reed, Brody Andrews; and brother, Mike (Wanda) Andrews of Columbia.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Sara Frances Whitaker; brother, Lester Clyde Andrews.Active pallbearers will be Dwain Andrews, Ronnie Sparkman, Jimmy Andrews, Jeff Riggins, Wayne Lovell, and Jason Snyder. Honorary pallbearers include friends and employees of Natchez Trace Wilderness Preserve and former employees of Occidental Chemical Company.
