Roy Eugene Dugger, 74, retired employee of Columbia Plastics, died Thursday, August 20, 2020 at his residence in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Peery officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born July 16, 1946 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Nellie Nolan Dugger. Mr. Dugger served in the United States Army. He loved to watch deer in his backyard with his grandbabies, fishing, and watching westerns with his son. Mr. Dugger was of Baptist faith. Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Sherry Pruitt Dugger of Columbia; son, Cody Dugger of Columbia; granddaughters, Braelyn Michelle; Mia Katherine; sister, Mary Jo (David) McMeen of Columbia; brothers, Ronnie Dugger; Mark Dugger; mother-in-law, Nellie Boyd Pruitt of Columbia; brother-in-law, Billy Pruitt; sister-in-law, Renee (Bart) Anderson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Dugger; sisters, Nora Dixon; Janie Crane; and father-in-law, Walter “Pete” Pruitt, Jr. Active pallbearers will be Billy Pruitt, Ryan Davidson, Bill Doelle, Bobby McMillin, Brandon Thurman, and Wendell Boyd.
