Mr. Roy Woodard Fox, 74, retired employee of Inter-City Products and resident of New Cut Road, died Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jim Cox officiating. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4- 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Smyrna Church of Christ Youth Group, 3201 Smyrna Church Road, Culleoka, TN 38451. He attended school at Fountain Heights, Beech Grove, Spring Hill and Neapolis. On November 1, 1956 he married Jennie Lee Fox of Columbia who survives him. He was a member of Smyrna Church of Christ. Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Lee Roy (Linda) Fox of Shelbyville, Randy Dale (Renae) Fox of Columbia; two grandsons, David (Deana) Fox of Lewisburg, Brian Palmer of Shelbyville; two great-grandchildren, Kassidy Anne Fox, Nicholas Wayne Fox both of Lewisburg; two brothers, Robert Wesley (Betty) Fox , Larry Thomas (Myra) Fox both of Columbia; two sisters, Jennie Maybell (Hershel) Johnson of Spring Hill, and Lucille Johnson of Lewisburg. He was preceded in death by one sister, Velma Louise McNeelly. Pallbearers will be L.V. Rubert, Ross Pullen, Ricky Howell, Doyle Brannon, Steve Brown, Ronald Turpin, Jerry (Don) Thompson, Tom Bills, Edward Andrews and David Fox.Honorary pallbearers will be men of Smyrna Church of Christ, J.B. Turpin, William Rubert, Everett Pullen, Hershel Johnson and Brian Palmer.
