Roy Weaver Mr. Roy Lee Weaver, 84, retired dairy farmer in the Cross Bridges community and resident of N. Cherry Street in Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Tommy Hagewood officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The Maury County native was the son of the late William Henry Weaver and Sallie Ann Crossland Weaver. He was a graduate of Giles County High School in Pulaski. Mr. Weaver served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of Locust Street Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years, Rebecca Bone Weaver of Mt. Pleasant; one daughter, Rita (Lyndon) Campbell of Athens, Alabama; three sons, Dwayne (Beverly) Weaver of Decatur, Alabama, Wendell (Dolly) Weaver of Mt. Pleasant, Terry (Debbie) Weaver of Columbia; six sisters, Ola Mae Andrews of New Johnsonville, Sara (Garland) Glenn of Spring Hill, Mary Kirk, Jane Trimble, Pearl (Dugin) Kincaid, Nellie (Valton) Rummage all of Columbia; three brothers, Bill (Valree) Weaver of Woodbury, Clarence Weaver, Jack (Faye) Weaver both of Spring Hill; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Weaver, one sister, Eulala Prestridge, and four brothers, Samuel Weaver, Hint Frierson Weaver, George Weaver and C.H. "Dock" Weaver. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be men of Locust St. Church of Christ, Caregivers of NHC Hillview, Eldon "Sonny" Cummins, Bobby Cummins, Austin Adams, Seth Gilmore and Jerry Hicks.
