Mr. Roy C. White Mr. Roy Clinton White, 71, retired shift supervisor for Spontex Corporation, died Thursday, February 19, 2004 at his residence on West Ninth Street. Graveside services will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with John Vaughan officiating. Military honors will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Marvin E. White and Effie Lee Priest White and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Graymere Church of Christ and the Maury County Horsemen's Association. Mr. White served as Chairman of the Maury County Charity Horseshow benefiting Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. He married the former Anne Mullins September 11, 1948, who preceded him in death October 27, 1998. He is survived by two daughters, Sheila Anne White of Nashville and Pam White (Jay) Lawrence of Los Angeles, California and several cousins. Honorary pallbearers include Gary Kimmons, Jay Lawrence, James Thomas Bell, Tony Kimmons, Betty Crabtree, Donna Kimmons, Jennifer Loftin Barrier, Cliff Loftin and Wanda Knudson.
