Ruby Katherine Barr Holt, 103, homemaker and resident of Hunters Run Road in Lewisburg, died Monday, December, 26, 2016 at NHC Healthcare, Oakwood in Lewisburg. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Norton officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born December 13, 1913 in Giles County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Erskin Barr and Myra Bowens Barr. She married Gentry Lee Holt who preceded her in death July 14, 1998. Mrs. Holt loved quilting and was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church.Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Workman of Campbellsville; grandchildren, Andy (Vicki) Holt of Lewisburg, Tim Estes of Shelbyville, Joe Holt of Pulaski, Hunter Holt of Lewisburg, Heather Holt of Knoxville, and Carlee Holt of Lewisburg; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Andrew Holt, Hassel Holt, and Jimmy Clayton; and granddaughter, Mary Hagood. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.
