Mrs. Ruby Elizabeth Love Hughes, 80, retired employee of Maury Regional Hospital coffee shop and resident of Overton Dr., died Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Vaughan and Wendell Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Manford Love and Lou Willie Johnson Love. She was married to Robert Hill who died in 1979. Later she married Hillie A. Hughes who preceded her in death in 1992. Before going to work at MRH coffee shop she worked for the telephone company. Mrs. Hughes was a member of Graymere Church of Christ. Survivors include a sister, Geneva Davis of Columbia; one brother, Bobby (Betty) Love of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Jerry Wayne Burdett and a sister, Bettye Lou Cheatham. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
