MRS. RUTH NORMAN Mrs. Ruth Faye Hill Norman, 77, homemaker and former resident of East 18th Street, died Tuesday, August 20, 2002, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 4:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Doug Brown officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday after 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late James Clay Hill and Mary Ragsdale Hill. She was married to William Wesley "Pete" Norman who died August 6, 1992. She was a member of Loyal Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Johnny (Sherry) Allen of Lithia Springs, Georgia; Robert Allen, Jr., of Sparta, North Carolina; two sisters, Audrey Grubbs of Columbia; Edith Anglin of Kenosha, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Angel (Dion) Alston of Austell, Georgia; Jennifer (Jeff) Myers of Knoxville; Paedra Allen of Chicago, Illinois; George Allen of Hartford, Connecticut; three great grandchildren, Madison Alston and Victor Alston, both of Austell, Georgia; Conner Myers of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by twin brother, Raymond Clay Hill; and two sisters, Ruby Parker and Louise Thompson. Pallbearers will be Tommy Davis, Rickey Haskins, Cory Scott, Christopher Head, Doug McCandless and DeWayne Crumley. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Ferguson, Charles Wales, Dr. Gaylon Harris, nurses and staff of NHC of Hillview, nurses and staff of Maury Regional Hospital ICU Step-down, and members of Loyal Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
